New study compares taking grass allergy drops year round to seasonal only treatment.

This study compared allergy symptom reduction in grass allergies of children (many people call their grass allergy hay fever)  when taking allergy drops year round versus taking the only during grass pollen season.

While both treatment schedules were effective, the researchers wrote "Conclusion:  In grass pollen allergy, the continuous regimen performs better than the coseasonal in the first season, whereas in the subsequent years, the two regimens are nearly equivalent.

Summary:

  • one can take allergy drops daily for a year and then only in grass pollen season after that to eliminate one's grass allergy.
  • this applies to other seasonal allergies caused by pollen too (hay fever, ragweed, tree and weed allergies)
  • This makes allergy drops more affordable for allergy sufferers and the treatment even easier to maintain.
  • More proof that sublingual allergy drops work in children.
